GENESIS was painted intuitively from my imagination moment to moment. Just before I began painting, I had the strongest impression to write the 23rd Psalm on the canvas before applying paint! What a surprise! Nothing like this had ever happened before but I suspect now that I will create a series with a variety of bible verses/psalms that are close to my heart. I used a thin permanent marker for the psalm...
I named this first one Genesis as it truly felt as if I was creating a universe moment to moment on the canvas. Imagined this is what God, Our Creator, might have experienced as the universe and we were created. I could have painted in this way forever. Everything kept changing and changing, refining and refining as I continued to paint.
I knew I had to paint it. Very glad I did and happy with the resulting work of art. I will be painting more in what will be my "Genesis" series...
I consider this painting 'Healing Art' ...
