Now my mother didn’t look anything like this and neither did I as a child but…when the little red bow in my hair was painted spontaneously, I instantly knew it represented me and my mother. She always put a little red bow in my hair. I’d completely forgotten about that as an adult until it emerged from my subconscious spontaneously as I was painting! Fascinating!!
